Pneumonia, Otitis media, Bacterial endocarditis, Streptococcal pharyngitis, Cellulitis, Respiratory tract infections, Urinary tract infections, Bone and Joint Infections, Genitourinary tract infections, Acute prostatitis
May be taken with or without food. May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Oral Bone and joint infections; Respiratory tract infections, Genitourinary Tract Infections, Otitis Media Adults 1 to 4 g/day in divided doses. Usual dose is 250 mg every 6 hours. Streptococcal pharyngitis, skin and skin structure infections, uncomplicated cystitis, cellulitis and mastitis >15 years 500 mg every 12 hours.
Children 25 to 50 mg/kg/day q12h For streptococcal pharyngitis in patients >1year old and for skin and skin structure infections, divide total daily dose and give every 12 hours. In sever infections, 75–100 mg/kg/day for bone and joint, otitis media or severe infections q6–8h Beta-hemolytic streptococcal infections: Continue treatment for at least 10 days.
Renal impairment: CrCl (ml/min) 40-50 Max: 3 g daily. 10-40 Max: 1.5 g daily. <10 Max: 750 mg daily.
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. __NAME__ may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
__NAME__ is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
If you miss a dose of __NAME__, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consuming alcohol with __NAME__ does not cause any harmful side effects.
__NAME__ is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
__NAME__ is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Avoid prolonged use of __NAME__, since it may have possible effects such as rash and diarrhea.
__NAME__ does not usually affect your ability to drive.
__NAME__ should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of __NAME__ may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
