Oral Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease 1-11 yr <30 kg: 15 mg once daily in the morning for up to 12 wk; >30 kg: 30 mg once daily in the morning for up to 12 wk. May increase doses up to 30 mg bid if patient is still symptomatic after 2 or more wk of treatment. 12-17 yr 15 mg once daily for up to 8 wk. Erosive oesophagitis 1-11 yr <30 kg: 15 mg once daily in the morning for up to 12 wk; >30 kg: 30 mg once daily in the morning for up to 12 wk. May increase doses up to 30 mg bid if patient is still symptomatic after 2 or more wk of treatment. 12-17 yr 30 mg once daily for up to 8 wk.
Renal impairment: No dosage adjustment needed.

__NAME__ is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
If you miss a dose of __NAME__, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with __NAME__. Please consult your doctor.
__NAME__ is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
__NAME__ is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
__NAME__ may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
__NAME__ is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of __NAME__ is recommended.
__NAME__ should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of __NAME__ may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
