Generic: Fluconazole 0.3% Eye prep
Form: Eye Drop 0.30%
Fungal corneal ulcers, Fungal keratitis, Fungal eye infections
Adult: 1 - 2 drops to be instilled into the affected eye 5 times daily.
The drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to azoles.
Fluconazole decreases ergosterol synthesis by interfering w/ cytochrome P450 activity, thus inhibiting cell membrane formation of susceptible fungi including B. dermatitidis, Candida spp., C. immitis, C. neoformans, Epidermophyton spp., H. capsulatum, Micosporum spp., Trichophyton spp.
Use of fluconazole may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible strains of candida other than C. albicans.
This drug is generally well tolerated. Eosinophillia has been reported in some patients.

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
