Hypersensitivity.Clindamycin cream is also contraindicated in individuals with a history of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, or a history of \"antibiotic-associated\" colitis.
Clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosomal thus blocking the transpeptidation or translocation reactions of susceptible organisms resulting to stunted cell growth.
The patient should be instructed not to engage in vaginal intercourse, or use other vaginal products during treatment with this product. This cream contains mineral oil that may weaken latex or rubber products such as condoms or vaginal contraceptive diaphragms. Therefore, use of such products within 72 hours following treatment with Clindacin cream is not recommended. Lactation: Excretion in milk unknown; use with caution
